I wonder what this is! These balls are over an inch in diameter.

Ok, I went and looked it up.  From looking at the tree, I was thinking it was a dogwood.

I googled   dogwood red fruit   and found cornus kousa at the United States Arboretum. If you click through, and scroll down, there is a pic of a fruit that looks like these.




Grass, on the sidewalk.



Really really tall grass.



Pumpkin and shadow.




Quince.




Maple.

    Okay, that first plant is odd. I've never seen it before - I too wonder what it is?!

    Ok, -- from looking at the little tree, I'd have said it was a dogwood.

    And learned it is probably a cornus kousa
