Kinda scary how fast it goes. Peak one moment, mostly gone two weeks later..........
In town it's not quite as bare -- some of the trees people have chosen to plant (those Bradford pears, for one example) are still bright.
But yeah, we are getting on for "all the leaves are brown and the sky is gray".........................
I love (LOVE) having the storm windows on, so it is quiet in the house, and I love winter food, and winter bedding, and sitting by the window. in the sunshine, with a cup of tea and a novel.
Not, however, so fond of the monochromatic outdoors, nor of the short days. Walking home in the dark -- definitely not down with that.
