.
Another cold night.
Closer crop of the previous.
The next one makes me think of cut glass.
The sun rises, on frost birds in the forest.
A closer look.
My better half spotted this.
Maybe this is where the frost birds go, when they are no longer on the window.....
(Sorry about the wobbling. I couldn't get very close to the window, so this is zoomed quite a bit, which magnifies my every movement.....)
The same bunch of office icicles we've been watching.
.

You have the prettiest frost! I suppose that's an upside of frigid weather. *smile*
ReplyDeleteOh Vicki. How absolutely beautiful. I am just loving these frost photos. The ones with the sun rising in the background are breathtaking. And your video... well, it was relaxing. Just what I needed. :)
ReplyDeleteAn upside to frigid weather -- and cracked windows........ :-)
ReplyDeleteI suppose it must be the house settling. Or something. We have panes here and there around the house that have one vertical crack....
This, of course, lets more moisture through......
I really really mean that we will replace the windows (but it will be such a pita that we've been dawdling.......).
Once we do, we won't get the frost anymore.
So I am consciously enjoying it now.
:-)
Thanks, Justina.
I love it, too, especially with the sun behind it.......
It has to be pretty cold to get the interesting frost. Below 20 (F). I don't know what the other criteria are -- sometimes it's interesting, and sometimes ... not.
Don't you think it's cool the way your focus on Looking spreads to other members of your family? I don't know if I'd have noticed the swirling sparkles, if my better half hadn't........
I'll tell him you enjoyed it. :-)
