June 5

.

While I am a great admirer of flowers, I don't enjoy gardening.

The woman who owned our house before us (pre 1985) was a great gardener.  Only a few of her plants have survived a lack of care (and an overgrowth of trees, hence a lot more shade).

One is this rose.  With no care at all, this rose lives on.  It blooms in the spring, and in the fall -- a handful of blooms in each season.  I love the color, and I honor its hardy persistence in the face of abject neglect.

Walking in the neighborhood.  Looking straight up, on a very nice day, capturing a crow near the middle of the pic, between us and the wispy edge of a cloud.

I don't know what this is.  It reminds me a lot of sweet alyssum, but I think it is a perennial......

I'm sorry for the frustration! I wish the #)($&^ spammers would get a life and leave the rest of us in peace!
