A re-play of last year's December 24th post.............
------
Once upon a time, not so very long ago as parents remember such things, my extended family gathered to celebrate Christmas.
The children were little -- perhaps 1, 4, 6, 6, 8?
One evening they were taking turns singing Christmas songs. Picture the scene -- everyone sitting in a large and comfortable room, the tree decorated and lit, the dog waving his plumy tail, the adults enjoying the kids (and remembering when they were the ones singing in their pjs)............
Each child had a few turns. It got harder to think of a new song.....
My younger niece, the one who was about four at the time, took her next turn, ... and belted out Monty Python's "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK."
And no video. Alas.
It's not our Ms. M., but here is video of Monty Python's rendition.........
