day lily and bunny

I was looking at the day lily when I took this pic.  I didn't notice the bunny in the upper right corner until I saw the image on "the big screen".

day lily

.

Many moons ago, I transplanted day lilies from rural Indiana to the front yard of my first house.  When we moved into this house, I brought some of them with me.

peony, clouds, chives

.

Peony.  I think this may be Festivus Maximus -- one of my faves.  It smells good......

Chives in the periwinkle.  And that thing in the upper left is probably a walnut tree, and I should get it out of there.

magnolia, and hippo

.

Same magnolia we looked at yesterday.  Images in this post from May 12.

Hippo on a vehicle roof.  :-)  I think someone was moving.  There was furniture in the vehicle.  I do not think the hippo was attached to the roof.  It was just ... waiting...........

magnolia, and sunset

.

These pics were taken in early May and I'm only getting around to sharing them now.

Sunset, on May 2, 2020.

I took the previous pic, then walked through the house and looked out to the east.  Look how the sunset light is in the tops of the trees across the street.  I don't think I'd ever seen the trees looking like this before.

creeping phlox

.

Creeping phlox above a stone wall (keeping these people's front yard from falling on the sidewalk).

A closer look at the forget-me-not in the lower right corner of the above.

Same yard, more phlox with an interesting rock.
