June 11

.

Walkin' with Wibbs.

I thought I'd try again with the poppies and bachelor buttons.

Last year there were lots more poppies.  This garden was seriously damaged by last year's road reconstruction, and the insertion of this paving.  Maybe in the future we'll have more poppies again.  I hope so.

Well, that was a lot better than last time!  The 11th was cloudy, and the previous attempts were made in full, noon-time sun.  I suspect the more-diffuse light helped!

Walking on.  Rose.

Cute house (note wavy details on the front of the gable), and blue sky.

First rudbeckia for 2011.

Our tulip tree was blooming, just then.

Bits of fallen flowers, on asphalt.

[blush] Thanks!

I used to have bachelor buttons in the lawn extension at my first house. I like them, too!

And they look sooooooooooo good with the bright red poppies, in all that green........
