Saturday errands.
This is the pond behind the Pittsfield branch of the library.
The 25th was a beautiful day.
Another look at the pond. I saw red-winged blackbirds, swallows, and two other kinds of birds. I heard lots of birdsong. I recognize red-winged blackbird song, but didn't know the others. You can see two birdhouses in the pic (as always, click on any pic to embiggen), and there are many more on this wetland (which belongs to the library). Hooray for bird habitat!
Later that afternoon, walking Wilbur, visiting that nice poppy/bachelor-button garden.
Most of the poppies are red or orange, but not all.
