July 20

.

Daylilies and phlox.

Hosta.

Lilies.

Phlox.

Daylilies.

Snapdragons.

What a spectacular garden, in a relatively small space.  This gardener makes use of every inch.  (This is the garden at the south end of my old block.)

Near the farmers' market.  Hibiscus.

The shadow..........

Farmers' market bouquets.

Cute packaging at Zingerman's.

Our time in Italy, last April, was only in the north.  We did not eat spicy food in the north, but I am assured this (from southern Italy) is actually hot.

Daylily, with grasshopper.

Can you see the dark, hair-like antennae?  I didn't, until I got this on "the big screen."  They are really long!  (as always, click on any image to embiggen)

What remains of a coneflower, after the petals have gone.

You have GORGEOUS blooms and I love the market zinnias. I have GOT to get down to Zingermanns and Trade Joe's soon!
