High season for the big substantial hybrid daylilies.

A couple of yards have May apples. I happened to notice this -- I think this is the biggest "apple" I've ever seen on a May apple. I bet it's over two inches tall, from top to bottom.
This is the same yard with the big happy hostas whose flowers we enjoyed last week. The flowers are getting sparser. Loved the flowers in the strong sun, with their shadows.
