growing cactus in Alberta

Did you know you can grow cactus outdoors in Alberta?  You can.

And if you can grow it in Alberta, you can grow it in Michigan.  I don't think I want things with giant thorns in my yard, but it's intriguing to know I could have them, if I wanted.....
