The first coneflowers I've photographed in 2011.
Um. Bright yellow stuff.
Potentilla.
The same tulip tree flower we looked at last week.
Foxglove.
A really stupid curb cut.
Not only was there a perfectly functional curb cut here, but there are now two,
right next to each other, both pointed in the same direction (kitty corner across the intersection?).............
The cement guys have walked away, their job done, leaving all of these curb cuts impassable to anyone in a wheel chair. I guess the asphalt guys will come and make it ok, but I wonder when.
My tax dollars at work.
Sheesh.

June 15

The 15th was a day of interesting clouds.
Old, newer, and the newest (not visible, but the crane is evidence that it exists).
This brand new building holds the University's parking office.
What caught my eye were the new trees. I hadn't ever seen anything like them. My buddy Laurie recognized them as lilacs (yep, full-size trees). I was skeptical, but I'm sure she's right.
The university keeps track of its trees.
Spirea.
Clouds..........

Linden tree flowers.
The flowers are small, but there are a lot of them. They smell wonderful.
Summer, from my office window.
Me, and a colleague. And people think computer programmers are boring.........
Shop windows with huge old sign letters.
Sun through the trees, walking home on a bright blue day.
Hibiscus for sale at Downtown Home and Garden.

Second breakfast...........
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Parked at the grocery, we notice an interesting odometer reading.
Weed beside our driveway.

Walkin' with Wibbs.
I thought I'd try again with the poppies and bachelor buttons.
Last year there were lots more poppies. This garden was seriously damaged by last year's road reconstruction, and the insertion of this paving. Maybe in the future we'll have more poppies again. I hope so.
Well, that was a lot better than last time! The 11th was cloudy, and the previous attempts were made in full, noon-time sun. I suspect the more-diffuse light helped!
Walking on. Rose.
Cute house (note wavy details on the front of the gable), and blue sky.
First rudbeckia for 2011.
Our tulip tree was blooming, just then.
Bits of fallen flowers, on asphalt.
