November 13 was a good day for pictures.
I've tried before to get a nice clear shot of a swirl of frosting on a cake at Zingerman's Next Door, but on the 13th I succeeded.
I've been looking at the cranberry/walnut pie when I've made my selection from Next Door's offerings, and on the 13th I tried it. It's really good......... Zingerman's Bakehouse does an extremely good job. They make a huge variety of baked goods, from dozens of breads, to cookies and brownies, to cakes, to fancy European pastry, to pies...... (And that is *not* an exhaustive list!)
All of it is really good, and depending on your own tastes, some of it is spectacularly good. If you like pecan pie, and you like cranberries, I bet you would like this cranberry/walnut pie. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. (With Golden Yunnan tea, which was a perfect foil for the sweetness of the pie, in my estimation.)
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........................
It was a lovely day. One of those strange days when it's windy down at ground level, but clearly still aloft, as the jet trails linger and linger.
In town it's not easy to get a clear view of the sky. Trees and wires everywhere.
And telephone poles.
But sometimes, if we're looking for it, we can find an unobstructed view..............
Wow.
Same sunlight, on a ... smaller ... scale. Old Fisher-Price people (mostly), on an even-older type drawer. With a Venetian blind between them and the sun.
Bert and I went for our mosey. I picked up a big magnolia leaf, and a couple of "regular-size" tulip-tree leaves. I don't know what kind the other leaf is.
Very happy with this. Colors, shapes, textures...........
It's a big magnolia leaf.....
Love the range of colors here.
