July 19

.

Running errands.  Sky over the grocery-store parking lot.

Later.  Getting ready to go walk.

My yellow daylily.  This one is a surprise.  I know I planted the old-fashioned orange ones, and I know I planted the red-velvet one, but I do not remember planting this yellow one.........

More excellent sky.

One of the yards at the far end of my mile-ish loop has a lot of big fancy daylilies.  All of the next ones are in that one yard.

Wow, eh?

Walking on.  Here are a coupld of baby milkweed seed pods, with a bunch of spent flowers.

I have no idea what sort of plant this is.  It doesn't look very happy.

Isn't this leaf cool?

A nice ball-shaped clump of some sort of grass.

Black-eyed Susan.

Coneflower.  Love the arrangement of those pointy orange things.

This is that same big orange daylily we've been admiring for a few weeks, with its excellent neighbors.

Sky.

Closeup of my favorite part of the above.
