It's getting harder to find colorful leaves. Isn't this a gorgeous one? Maple. (Still enjoying The Secret Garden.)
Notice snow on ground............. Not much snow, but it was cold enough that the snow didn't melt for several days.

Down at the end of our block, across the street, in the back yard, is this tall sycamore. I often see it brightly sunlit, like this, with the evergreens behind. I've tried to get a pic many times, but they've always been boring. This is the closest I've gotten to what I see in person -- the bright white trunk and branches, with the gold (seedpods, I think), against the dark green trees, with the blue sky behind.............
This year we've seen a lot of really tall herbaceous plants (lambs quarters, broccoli), and some really big leaves.
