one wool sock done

Here is the first of the wool socks. It looks better in person than in the pic.












And, I am happy to report, here is the toe of the second sock. Past the increasing, and ready for the blissful mindless foot.

















This is an unposed glance into my knitting box. The latest addition is the notebook. I decided it was a good idea to keep track of things like "how many stitches did I cast on, anyway?" so I don't have to try to figure it out from looking at sock1 when I'm ready to start sock2. I noted those things on the back of a list of checked-out items from the library, and wished for something a little more interesting and permanent to use for this sort of recording. I found the little notebooks, four in a package, at the dollar store. I love chartreuse. And the size is perfect for my purposes.
