ATC a day for August, day 31

The last day of August!

I am really glad I tried making an artist trading card every day for a month. Thanks for inviting people to join you, Carmi! I'd been wanting to try this sort of challenge.

I want to be in the habit of doing creative things often. Very often.

I have learned I don't want to insist that I do it every single day. Some days I'm tired when I get home from work, and that's legitimate. I really don't want to turn being creative into a chore or obligation. Some days I want to make lots and lots, and some days I want to go to bed with a novel. As long as the novel days don't outnumber the days when I do something creative, I think that's ok.

My goal is going to be to put something I've created up on the blog every day, but I don't have to have made it that day.

To finish the month, some more packing-tape transfers. These birds are from a magazine that was much poorer quality than the other images I transferred. The transfers from this bird mag are somewhat transparent, even where there is lots of color, unlike the transfers I made from better-quality magazines, which were opaque where the ink was heavy. I like the transparency in the image itself.
