making the world a better place...

one dog at at time.

This morning, on the way to work, I spotted a dog walking herself. She was very near her house (I've seen her in the yard), but across the street. Oops!

I said "Stop the car!", got one of the leashes we carry in the car, and got out.

When I said "Hey there, dogger!" to her, she came right up to me. I snapped on the leash, and took her home. I rang the bell, and her mom was home, so that was all very easy indeed.

Please, everyone, keep a collar and tag(s) on your dog(s). And please, have them microchipped. It makes it so much easier for someone who might try to help your pet, should she go walkabout, if she has a collar and tags, and in case she loses those, a microchip.

This has been a public service announcement for the benefit of pets everywhere.
