Kathy York's quilts

These are by Kathy York. I had seen both of them on her blog, and had seen the fish featured in Quilting Arts, but I never got it until I saw it in person. It is hilarious. If you've ever seen synchro, you know that the girls are all decked out in sparkles and spangles, and wear makeup, and have their hair glued into buns on top of their heads.

These fish all have earrings (I think you can see them if you click on the pic to see the bigger version), and lots of them have sparkles and spangles.....

I can't imagine how much work this was. Be sure to see it in person, if you ever get the chance.
