back on guard

They were busy at the vet, last evening, so I didn't go get Buzz until around 9:00 (so thankful that our vet is open 24 hours!).

We came home with four kinds of pills and two sixpacks of I/D (prescription diet for dogs with gut issues).

When the vet said he was still vomiting yesterday, I hadn't understood that it was different from when I had him on Wednesday. On Wednesday I got back everything he had eaten. Last night she said most of what he was eating was making it all the way through.

So all the cans of broth and consomme and all the envelopes of gelatin I bought at the grocery yesterday afternoon were not needed (though I may use some broth to encourage him to drink, drink, drink), but I also bought a big box of babywipes, which I needed for cleaning up his pants.....

So far I've only needed them once rather than the every-2-3-hours that I guess was his schedule yesterday.......

We'll hope that's a good sign.

And I believe he hasn't vomited since I've had him, either...........

He is definitely not as droopy as on Wednesday and Thursday morning, but less energy than his usual self.
