I could see the bronze and green with my naked eye, but who knew about the fuzzy white trim?
This guy was less than half an inch (about a centimeter) from head to tail.
(Update on Aug 18 -- it's a Japanese beetle, and we seem to be infested with them thi summer. Anything that eats rose petals isn't really ok with me, however cool and bronze and fuzzy-decorated......)

Honey bees have so many problems these days. I'm always happy when I spot one.
