dogboy update

Here is Buzz right after we got home from his vincristine appt. last Tuesday. Note that he is bright and alert, and sports a natty hot pink bracelet (vetwrap where he had his iv for the vincristine). Note also that he is working at growing the hair back, on his lower back where it was shaved to do the bone marrow aspiration back in June.


























He was supposed to have vincristine last week, but his neutrophils were only 1400. We skipped one leukeran, and he had that dose of vincristine this week on Tuesday (might have had it sooner, but the vet at our practice who does chemo had much-deserved a long weekend).

This Tuesday his neutrophils were 10,000, so he had the vincristine.

He has been on metaclopramide (Reglan) to keep his GI tract on an even keel, and has done fine. I am on every blip in his behavior like white on rice, and I am watching the way he is licking his feet............................ (It can be a soothing behavior, when they don't feel quite right.....)

So far, we are hanging in, doing ok.


The angle of this pic is making me seasick. It didn't seem so weird when I took it, but it is, definitely, so weird.
