last Friday's dinner

My daughter enjoys cooking. She puts together delicious and gorgeous dinners. I love eating beautiful food -- have a look at this.

The kabobs were every bit as good as they looked.

Now enjoy looking at what came after -- from-scratch blueberry peach upside-down cake.

Mmmmmm.

Inspired perhaps by the delicious berry soup we had on the Ryndam, my daughter bought a berry cookbook at the Sheldon Museum's giftshop in Haines, AK.

If everything in the book is as good as this cake, we are in for a lot of treats.

The book is _Northwest Berry Cookbook_, by Katherine Stang.

I surely want to see people who come up with good recipes, and write them up clearly, compensated for their work, so they'll do more of it. :-)

(Not to mention it would be a violation of copyright for me to give away her work.)
