Aug 31 -- dapple grays

If I had to pick just one critter at the State Fair as my very favorite of all, I think it would have to be a dapple gray draft horse.





Not that I don't love the other colors, too.







But the dapple grays are my favorites.





I love to see them at rest, and I love to see them perform.

I just wish I had caught the important sounds. The jingle of the harnesses. The thump of the hooves......





There's sound on the video, but unfortunately it's the announcer (about as understandable as he was when we were there!) you can hear, rather than the horses.

Next time I'll stick the camera through the fence and try for the horse noises......
