Exotic stuff to fondle and acquire.
Plant fibers. Linen is made from fibers that run the length of the stem of flax plants. Ramie is made from wood fibers. Lots of "man-made" about ramie, but the origin is a plant, not a petroleum product. (Yes, I know, petroleum products come from plants, too....)
There was cotton, too, but I didn't get its pic.
Here is something new, on the "plant fiber" front........... Soy silk.
And now for animal fibers..... Weren't they smart, putting pics of the animals on the labels?
Of course llamas were represented, too -- I just didn't get a pic of their label.
This pic shows a goat (which is where cashmere comes from). It's facing right. Its ear is hanging down, and its dark horn goes up.....
I didn't notice if there was a label with a silk moth for the silk..... This is a crummy pic, but look at the color and the luster.............
I failed to photograph the label for the angora goats which produce mohair, or for the bunnies which produce the fiber we call "angora"...........
Suffice it to say that the pics here are but a small sample of the actual offerings!
