Found in front of my office building.
First, a couple of almost-transparent mushrooms.
And now for the coolest thing I've found in my pics in a while.
I saw these little round guys, and thought they were interesting. I did not get my nose down within two feet of them, and I did not put on reading glasses.
These guys are very little. The bits that look a bit like railroad ties are just mulch. The biggest of the little fungi is well under half an inch. I thought they were sorta cool, but had no idea about what they do as they ripen until I saw these pics "on the big screen."
Wow.
Aren't the little bowl thingies excellent? I had no idea -- I saw the yellow guys, and thought there were white guys, too. I couldn't see the bowls with the little cookies in them, until they were on the computer.
Cool.
A camera with a macro focus option is a very cool toy.

It's like a little fairy land...bowls of fruit...tiny parasalls!!
Really delightful!!
Aren't they cool? I was so pleased (and surprised!) to see them......
They've all disappeared during our recent dry days. I wonder if they will reappear after it gets wet.....
Very cool pictures can't you just see a little fairy playing with them.
Thanks. I hope they come back -- I
want to see them "in person".....
I better bring a magnifying glass in to work!
Now that is awesome! Bowls of fairy fruit and fairy parasalls; and where was the cardigan fairy steed? You are inspiring me to take my camera with more often!
I love my little camera. It's a Panasonic DMC-LZ3. It has a 6x optical zoom.
For a little camera, it's not all that little, and for a capable camera, it's not all that capable, but for me it is a good compromise.
Small enough to not be cumbersome in a fanny pack. I take it nearly everywhere. So when I think -- "Oh, I want a pic of that" -- I am all set and can take the pic.
In Twyla Tharp's creativity book, she talks about a kid encountering a baseball idol and asking for an autograph. The idol said "Sure, kid, got a pencil?"
Well, the kid didn't have a pencil, and didn't get the autograph. He never left the house again without a pencil, ever....
I thought about that, and that's when I got the little camera......
:-)
