Buzzupdate

I am happy to report that he is nearly 100%.

Whew.

He ate his din last night (about 2/3 of his usual amount) with no coaxing (and might have eaten more, but I didn't offer him any more). He ate his milkbone this morning with no coaxing. Not quite as fast as he generally would, but with no hesitations or pauses.

Last night he played the wrestling game with his brother for a longer time than I've seen in months and months.

Whew.

I think I'll still hold off and let him have chemo next Tuesday rather than today. Let him have a few days to feel normal before we hit him again.

Thinking about his diet ... one reason I'm loathe to change it right now is that what he will and will not eat is a clear indication for me when he's not feeling quite right.

I need to know, pretty precisely, how he's feeling.......

We are nearly at the end of the iv chemo. Two more vincristines, and one more adriamycin. Then, I'm told, the most likely scenario is that we go to oral chemo, only.

Which he's on now, anyway. Leukeran (2 mg) alternating days with pred (5 mg). Long-term pred use is scary. All sorts of nasty auto-immune side effects..... I need to talk to the onc about dosage, and side effects.......

I'm thinking I'll take him back to MSU for his last adria, so they can see how he is doing, and so I can take a list of questions to the onc................

Anyway.

Thank you for your solicitous kind thoughts.
