In the morning it was icy in places. Very important to be watching one's footing at all times.....
In the evening the sidewalk ice was melted. There were puddles to watch out for, but not ice.

There is *some* color in the winter landscape....... Rose hip.
I really like the red as part of this combination.
It seems that people in tropical climates often paint things (houses, vehicles) bright colors. Where we in the north stick to white or beige....... Given this monochromatic winter landscape we inhabit for months and months each year, wouldn't you think that we'd be painting our houses hot pink and lime green?
