Wilbur's neutrophils are a bit elevated, but are exactly what they were the last time he was tested, so Dr. Jess says we are to assume the elevation is due to his chronic respiratory whatever it is, and we won't worry about it. She told me the last time she saw him that she had one other dog with the same unknown respiratory issue, and that other dog is a beagle. This time she said she has three of them, all beagles (or at least sort of beagles, as we can't really count Willard as a beagle, entirely..... He really does go by at least half a dozen names; sorry to be confusing!).
Buzz's kidney values are elevated, but they are the same as they were before he went on enalapril. Enalapril typically raises the values (while doing other good things), so for them to be stable even though he is on enalapril now is actually an improvement. Dr. Taryn says we won't worry about him, either.
Buzz also had his blood pressure taken (and it was fine). Apparently they need to shave a place right above a back foot for that. He got some clipper burn, and it was driving him crazy until I put a little petroleum jelly on it. Poor guy. Partly my fault. I didn't realize they had shaved him there, and when we got home yesterday, I flung a bear for him in the family room for quite a while. I'm sure that rubbed it right where it was already unhappy..... Sigh.
This pic was taken through two layers of glass, with the most zoom the little camera can manage. It wasn't all that sharp and it was a bit hazy.
I made a copy of the layer, applied the "soft light" blending mode, used the "find edges" filter twice, and the "poster edges" filter once.
In addition to da boyz, note the maple leaves! Last weekend these trees only had buds. Now there are quite good-sized leaves (though they will be much larger when fully grown). Amazing.

Wow, your Maples have overtaken ours. We were neck and neck until today...
Give the furballs a pat!
I am just boggled by how fast things have exploded this year.
Last weekend, buds. This weekend, half-grown leaves.
Amazing.
Pats for your fuzzies, too!
