Gramps

A long-lost cousin recently got in touch with me. His great-grandfather was my father's father's oldest brother.

He very kindly and generously shared some photos, including this one of Gramps on the edge of the transition from boy to young man.

Taken as the 19th century receded and the 20th began.





Gotta looooooooooooooooove modern technology! So easy to share these images! Our cousin emailed them to me; I forwarded to my parents and siblings and offspring.

Abracadabra! -- many copies for my immediate family, where before Sunday there were none.

And of course technology allowed a bit of cleanup -- removal of speckles and scratches.....
