looking out the window

.

If you got right up next to our hotel room's window, and looked waaaaaaay over to the right...... Yep, we are really in Chicagoland......

Some days the reflection in the window was very insistent.

If you can't beat it, can you turn it into a feature?

Some days the interior reflection wasn't so demandingly present.

The area around the hotel was interesting. From up there, looking northeast as we did, it looked like the hotel was mostly surrounded by forest. (About 12 stories up, I guess -- I can't tell you for sure, as the Executive Wing had totally bogus numbering on the floors. Three or four was called "21"...... We were on "29".....)

Surrounded by forest, and then the odd building sticking up here and there.....

There were no other buildings near enough to our windows that anyone could see in. I always enjoy that.

It was very Big Sky-ish up there all alone, and I love that. Can you see the ducks or geese or whatever they are, in the middle about a third of the way down from the top?

You knew I couldn't resist tweaking the pics for too long.... Here is a water-color- filtered look at the parking lot from up on "29." I am liking these water-colored images of cars and pavement and other man-made stuff I usually find boring.

In order to facilitate chronological traverse of these Chicago quilt show posts, a link to the next one is here.
