I don't follow sports, other than a bit of swimming here and there, but I live with people who do.
In the past week: the Pistons have won decisively, three times, after looking pretty weak earlier, and they won their playoff series; the Tigers have won three against the Yankees in New York for the first time since the '60s; the Redwings have swept their playoff series; and -- the Lions didn't lose (they didn't play, as it's not football season, but we won't mention that).
Yesterday (and one other day in the last week) all of that happened on the same day.
Detroit is a very big town for sports. There is celebration in Mo-town.
