Spirea.





I like the way the anthers are dark specks against the white petals.

And -- look at the way some the stamens are curved around (the flower just above the center), and others sproing out (the flowers at the bottom). I bet this has something to do with the age of the flower........ (as always click on an image to see a bigger version)





Lilac. This is a very small shrub. Not "common lilac," I think, but something else.....





I have no idea what this is. Tiny little thing, not more than four or five inches tall. I like the V-shaped petals.

Iris.

I'm not that fond of varigated leaves, as a rule. I think they look ... contrived. I'll have to look at some other iris buds -- it was the stripes on this one that caught my eye, and I wonder if that is because of the stripes on the leaves.....
