Buzzupdate

.

Monday was a bit nerve-wracking.

The iv chemo is risky. If not administered exactly correctly, there is potential for damage. So every time we go, it seems to me we are getting closer to the time when something goes wrong....

The vet who has been doing the chemo is out on maternity leave, and the vet who did it on Monday had never done it before. All went fine, thanks in part to excellent communication between the two vets. Whew.

Buzz has been getting more wobbly in the rear. The vet who gave him his chemo is the accupuncture vet, and when asked, she said he was a good candidate to try accupuncture as something that might strengthen his rear.

So right after his chemo, he had accupuncture.

I sat with him while the needles did their thing. He was pretty agitated when I got him, whether that was from all the chemo stuff, or getting stuck a bunch more times, or what, I don't know. I needed to keep him still, as he had some needles in his hind feet.

By the end of the time, he was quite calm (laying his head down).

Whew.

So -- since I was using two hands to keep him still (and so didn't take a pic of him all embellished with shiny silver bits), here are the kittains who were in the lobby, hoping to find homes.

A travesty, I know. His very own update, with *felines* on it..... Buzz is scared of kittains....

cute kittens :) Say hi to Buzz from me....I hope you are all doing well and I enjoyed your comments when I was away. I managed to get around to posting some photos on the most recent entries, but the rest will have to wait until I get back from the UM Bio station in August. Also, around that time I should upload them all to some website, and I will post the URL for all to see!!

Take care,

Celine :)

It's the spitting and hissing he's afraid of. :-) One of those "cute is as cute does things"?? :-)

Thanks for the good thoughts. We are very lucky that he has done so well....
