If you want to see the sky, in a place with lots of trees, it surely helps to be up high. My office is on the second floor, but there are two flights of stairs between the first floor and the second.....
Another strategy is to look over and beyond a parking lot.
This house is across a small parking lot from my office building. Can you see that the weather vane is an eagle? See the bird perched on the eagle? The eagle is facing left, and the live bird is facing right.
Don't miss the excellent sky.
This is where the Y used to be. I thought, from all the gravel we see here, they were building a parking lot, and, sure enough, just in time for use during art fair.....
Gas stations are low. With a parking lot across the street from the gas station, we can see the sky quite nicely.
This parking lot runs almost the whole length of the block, again allowing for a good look at the sky.
Looking across the street, across a parking lot, over a low building (we've admired its chimney and window before), we get another look at clouds.

oh how I LOVE big skies...and clouds....
Me, too. I really feel like I can *breathe*, when I can see layers and layers of clouds, way off in the distance......
I also enjoy the way the sky looks different, every time you look (well, when it's not all blue! :-) ).
Once upon a time I lived on the 19th floor, in a place where there was only one other building that tall in the whole town. WONDERFUL sky from up there............ You could watch the weather roll in, and roll on by......... Nice.
