I believe it is bad feng shui to have a road leading straight toward your home.
Looking down the block at this cute little house, it's easy to imagine why!
Student housing. It was the spiral fire-escape that caught my eye, but I like the blue chairs and orange flowers, too.
Thistle. Aren't the spiraling ex-petals excellent?
Crabapple leaf. It's nice to have some hints that cooler weather is coming!
Thistle, from the top. The emphatic spiky quality is very nice. To look at. Not to step on.
A habit shot of coneflowers. Not the best one I could have chosen -- you can't tell that these are working on being as tall as I am.
This coneflower closeup is nice and sharp and there are interesting details around the bases and edges of the petals. I also like the light.
New needles. Love the color! And the arrangement.
The lovely common daylilies are coming to an end of their flowering.
Now we get to enjoy the varieties that have been developed more recently.
Loving the color and the curls!!!!
Color ho hum, aside from the nice yellow throat -- but I like the sturdy form and ruffly edges.
Cedar. Love the teeny scale-like leaves, and of course love the color.
We looked at this house from across the street several weeks ago. It looks like they are getting closer to painting. The white places will help the new paint stick better, I bet, but they detract from the tan-and-teal experience.
Liking the flowers and the colored glass on the window.
