September 17

.

Full moon, spotted from the bathroom window.

The other end of the day, on my way home from work.

Urban tomato. With sunflowers.

The golden rain tree pods are much darker this week than last. Wonder if that is because of all the rain we had over the weekend.

Chrysanthemum. I attempted to capture the foliage, but was unsuccesful.

Lose some, win some. No chrysanthemum (boy that's hard to type!) foliage, but here are these excellent purple maple seeds. I've been trying to capture them for a couple of weeks, with no success until now.

The 17th was a very nice day!

Sedum. Liking the leaves in the background.....

Ant swarm. These are next year's breeders, setting out to find what passes for true love in the ant world, and then the girls will hunker down to survive the winter. The boys, having done their only job, won't be around next year.

Big white hosta (in contrast to my little purple hosta).

Looking west on Liberty. Isn't it amazing how much light the road is reflecting? For dry old asphalt, that's a lot of reflection!
