September 23

Here is our hydrangea in front of the library. This is the first time I've caught it actually blooming.





An older cluster.





An even older cluster (all three of these on the same plant).

There are lots of hydrangeas in this enormous planter, but this is the only one I can get up close and personal with. The others are six or eight feet from the edge.





The results of some of the crab apple flowers we enjoyed last spring.





Aster.





Venturing out at lunch, we spot these excellent enormous leaves. Hard to imagine this is hardy in our climate, but these were here last year, too.....
