This is not the datura that is so close to my house, but I didn't miss a chance to see if I could look at a fairly recently opened pod.

Struck gold with this one.

You can see a green pod (center left), an excellent open pod still with seeds (center top), and some fallen seeds (center bottom).





Ooooh. Coool. I like the upswept thing on top, and then allllll the spikes! I like the way the pod-shell pieces curl up and out......







I don't know if this is one plant. The sidewalk squares are 5' on a side....





You know I don't have the sidewalks to myself. Generally I find people to be boring subjects. This woman is, of course, more interesting because she has dogs. And the only red in the picture.





Nice house. I like the pinky-purple touches in the trim. This street is pretty busy, so I don't think I'd really enjoy sitting at the little table, but it's cute.





I liked the lines of the rungs......

Gazeeble, as I have heard a little kid call this sort of thing.
