Twice a year, at the time of the equinox, the light coming through this carefully-planned opening (at 9:30 am EDT) falls on this:
What is the meaning of this message from the past? Were they warning us to take care to use sunlight rather than so very much fossil-fuel-derived power to manage our days? Were they hinting that, some day, the price of power would mean we had to be more careful to use less?
Were they letting us know that if we were sensible enough to be coming down to breakfast at this hour we would not need electric light?
No one knows.................

Our peephole makes rainbows on the wall during the hot summer afternoons.
My one time big mistake was, I saw the rainbow, and ran to look into the peephole. Can you say,"laser beam directly to the cortex?"
