Nov. 20 -- hydrangea

.

Hydrangea, in front of the library.

It was another windy day. This clump of flowers was blowing all over the place. This is hardly sharp, but is pretty good, considering.............

Color saturated, poster edged. The poster edging really does bring up the edges, when it can find them.........

Same image, watercolored. Not entirely sure how much I like any of these, but I had to try.......

I saw the pale leaf on top of the dark one, but never saw the ... maple? ... leaf between them until I saw 'em on the "big screen."

I need to learn to play around with my photoshop more, it looks like so much fun. Cool pics.

I LOVE hydrangeas! Especially the oak leaf ones...had a beautiful one that I couldn't wait until Fall to see the color change....and then my dogs dug it up and dismantled it on the lawn.:( sigh.

I had never been that fond of hydrangeas, but since I've been admiring this one in front of the library, my view is changing.....

I heartily recommend the "classroom in a book" books that Adobe makes. I learned a lot by working myself through the Elements version 2 one, a while ago, and now want to do the version 6 one (even though a lot of it is the same......).

It is really fun. Lots of things, like putting on filters, changing the saturation, etc., are VERY easy. Very. Like two clicks.

Figuring out what you *want* to do to a given image is more tricky -- I still never know if something will help a given image or not. But experimenting and seeing if you like something (or not) is part of the fun, I think. I never know what surprises are waiting. Some are boring, some are worse than the original, but sometimes they are just excellent...... :-)
