Nov. 6 -- the last nice day, part 2

.

I don't think I'll ever get over the wonder of the sidewalk being covered with this. Especially as it's only like this for a few short weeks every year....

When I was a kid, in a neighborhood not very far from this one, any pumpkin left on the step was sure to be smashed overnight.

I am happy to be living in a neighborhood where smashing someone else's pumpkin is Not Done.

Transition.

Here are the autumn clematis seeds. The seeds are bulgier. Still wondering what will happen with the hairy bits as they get drier.........

Liking this. Believe it is hydrangea.

Cousin Itt in someone's front yard.

I like the shadows.........

What a day, eh?

I have been thinking I need to take the bigger camera, which has sound with its video, and crunch through some leaves. Of course it has been raining ever since I thought of that..... :-)

I love this time of year, and am very sorry when the End of the Color comes. But I love winter, so am not entirely sorry.....

Lucky, are the colors amazing? I never get used to having all that color carpeting the sidewalk. For us to just walk on. !!
