Back past the eagles. They were doing some serious preening. My dogs shed at this time of year. I presume they are getting rid of their lighter summer wear, in preparation for serious winter plumage. Downwind of the eagles, there were down feathers. Lots of down feathers......
It is well established that people are not my favorite of earth's critters. Spending time around random strangers -- not my thing, and the more of them there are, the less my thing it is.
I would just like to say that a late October Thursday is a *lovely* time to visit the zoo. The last time we were here, we had to park in the north 40. This time we were just outside the handicapped spaces in the nearest lot.
My favorite.
More photographic challenges...... Glare, added to traveling at 70 miles per hour.... Kind of amazing that any of these even begin to turn out...........
These have been poster-edged...........
Self-portrait in outside mirror. A lot of info in this pic. My hat was purchased at the King Tut exhibit in Chicago's Field Museum, in preparation for a boat trip to see architecture. It rained on the boat-trip day, so I didn't wear it there, but I wore it in Alaska...... You can see reflections of bare trees, and draw inferences as to the season. You can see which kind of camera I like. You can see the college sticker in the back window.....
