snow!

.

For once, a post hot off the presses. These pics taken about an hour ago.

The other night we got a little snow. Enough to whiten the roofs, and stick on the fallen leaves.

This is the first time we've been awake to enjoy watching it fall.

Closeup, on the fence. You can see that there are flakes and little ball thingies.

One of the few things I don't like about winter -- the leaves leave, which means the neighbors can see right into our yard/house (they can't in summer....).

The boys usually love the snow, but with Buzz's increasingly impaired mobility, I wonder how this winter will go.

Happy sigh. Need to go brew the next cup of tea!

It's so pretty to look at -- if only we didn't have to go out in it, shovel it, drive in it . . .

Thanks for the shiver.

I'm happy to go out in it, briefly :-), as long as I don't HAVE to drive when it's hazardous.

The roads are almost always cleared off within 24 hours. I can work from home, so if it's too scary to drive, I can just stay home. Very lucky indeed! And -- I can walk to and from work, so with a decent pair of boots, I can do what I need to do, pretty much.

I don't mind shoveling. I'd much rather shovel than mow..... :-)

Stay tuned. I'm sure there will be a gracious plenty of shivers, in the coming months...... :-)
