A snowy day in a red-car neighborhood.
My daughter brought home some books about Andy Goldsworthy's work. I had been looking at them just before I went out to take pics, and I felt a need to put a mark in the snow.....
A few days ago I saw a blue jay eating these tulip-tree seeds. Blue jays were hit very hard by West Nile virus. They said it hit corvids harder than other birds. For a few years I thought there were fewer crows, but I think the crows have recovered. I don't think the blue jays have recovered. I am glad to feed them.
Squirrels often scold the dogs, from the safety of the trees. They don't usually scold me. This one did, which makes me wonder if it is our univited guest.....
