snow

.

When I left work yesterday, it was snowing right down.

I thought I would take the bus home. The federal building (housing the post office, amongst other things) has a nice overhang right where I wait for the #9, so I could take pics without endangering the camera. Looking west.

Looking south.

(I am really liking this image. Even for me, this one is stark. With an exuberant fizz...... I didn't have high expectations for any of these -- just goes to show -- Take the Pic; You Never Know.)

Still looking south. Gotta love the sparkles.....

There was a lot of traffic (everyone driving slowly because of the snow?), and my bus didn't come. None of the buses along the side where I catch the 9 came.

I decided to walk. The snow wasn't that deep, so I strode out, in my running shoes....

It was a good idea. It wasn't too windy, and it was a very pleasant walk. My hands got a little cold (I meditated on knit-then-felted mittens, as I walked). It wasn't too windy, just snowy, cold, nice.

This last pic was taken about 10pm. Still snowing.

Through my front yard maple tree, the neighbors' decorated house.

I am sooooo gonna regret having said that. The minute I hit "publish your comment" I thought, "We have had snow here. I shouldn't have been so smarta$$."

Luckily essentially no one here knows where you live...............

:-) :-)

Last year we hadn't had any noticeable snow here, by now. I remember a red/white/green pic I took around now where the white was a picket fence........

This year has been snowier, so far.
