You know the house is dry when...

... plastic bags stick to the wall.

We have a plastic bench thingie in the back hallway which holds a couple of pairs of wet shoes, and has stacks of dog-feet towels on top.

Our newspaper comes in plastic bags, which, if hole-free, we toss on the bench to use later for picking up after the dogs. This bag didn't make it to the bench, but rather was sucked out of the air by the attraction of the wall.....

Note bradford pear leaf -- they have more substance than most leaves, and so do not shrivel as they dry. They also hold onto their color remarkably well.

This vignette was not posed. I like the distribution of color.....

This is hilarious in a static sort of way.
You know the house is dry when the dog keeps running away from you because every time you pet him he sparks.

I need orange said...

Yes, poor guy. When I have to scootch him around so I can pick him up at the top of the stairs, we generate enough static that each of us gets a shock when I pick him up.

He is pretty stoic. I think he has decided this is one more situation where stoicism is required, and he just tolerates the shocks.

I know he'd rather he could come down under his own steam....
