cruise, Jan. 31, arriving in Nassau

.

Taken through the window in our room, 8:20 am.

Taken from the promenade deck, somewhat later.

Imagining how Columbus, et. al., felt when they spotted islands like these, after spending weeks or months at sea......

After breakfast, as we close in on the harbor.

Our first chance to see the whole ship. It's large.

This is really the color of the water in the harbor.

We can tell from looking at the vegetation that this is a dry place.

Compared to the tiny spots our ship visited in Alaska, Nassau is a much bigger place. There is room at the pier for lots more than one ship at a time.

Tile lasts lots longer than paint.... Love the colors.

Did I mention that the ship was Large?

I believe this was our room.
