sending a postcard from the Bahamas

.

I knew I would want to send postcards home from the Bahamas. I did that from Alaska, and enjoyed getting them in the mail when we got home. (Fairbanks had the best Alaska-ish cancellation!)

From Alaska, no problem -- I already had US post card stamps. From the Bahamas...... Especially as we'd be there on Saturday and I didn't know if the Post Office would be open (and didn't want to spend precious time hunting for stamps)......

I checked on ebay and immediately found these.

Nice, eh?

Then I realized that I had no clue how much postage I would need............

So I googled for Bahamas postage, and, hey presto, there was just the info I needed. (65 cents to airmail a regular-size post card to the USA)

Back to ebay, buy the butterflies (buy it now!), and I am all set.

Gotta love this technological age!

It turned out to be harder to find decent postcards to send home than to acquire the necessary postage to send them there!
