I walked to and/or from work several times in February, but it was cold enough that removing my gloves to take pics was painful.
All of these are just as the camera remembered. Well, ok, I did some cropping. But no color enhancement or filtering.
Boxwood leaves, still on the hedge.
Persimmon.
I love this tree..... Still providing interesting objects with plenty of color, even in February.
From my office window, late one afternoon.
And a few at home.
Snow melt, in our back yard.
Senior swimmer's bouquet, 10 days after it was presented, still looking good.

I've never lived somewhere that it snowed whiffle balls -- even in neighboring Ohio. As always, great photos.
These are such a normal feature of our landscape that I don't stop to think that some people don't live with golfers, and perhaps not allll golfers hit whiffle balls against the house............
The balls get lost in the vegetation (or stuck in the roof gutters, or...) and only show up in the winter.
:-)
As usual I enjoy seeing your pictures, but I really, really like that first leaf vignette, with the blurred leaves in the background in stark contrast to the cripsy front ones.

Thank you. :-)
I actually did see that before I took the pic, and hoped it would be captured in the image.
:-)
The macro focus has that short depth-of-field and makes such shots more likely to be successful.......
When it doesn't focus on the background, leaving the thing I *meant* to have be the subject as the blurry part!
That pic of the magnolias in front of the bridge..... One of those has the background in sharp focus instead of the flowers......
ps -- did you like the vase I put your flowers in, in the hotel??
:-)
